Smart Godaam: watching the stock in every warehouse

Godaam puts sensors in the warehouses where farmers store their produce. I took over the platform in April 2024 and led it for over a year: every warehouse, stack and device on one dashboard, alerts on WhatsApp and email when a reading crosses a line, and the readings streaming in live.

The brief

Godaam Innovations builds smart storage for farmers: warehouses and stacks of produce fitted with sensors for temperature, humidity and air quality, watched from one platform.

Their team started the platform in December 2022. I took it over in April 2024 as WLBS and led it until July 2025; Manish carried it on until July 2026.

What I built

    Roles that match the business

    Corporations, farmer organisations and their sub-organisations, with admin, corporation admin and data analyst roles, and every user seeing only the stacks and devices they’re assigned.

  2. 2024

    Warehouses, stacks and devices

    Every warehouse, stack and sensor with its health, capacity, and the stock coming in and going out, with a year of history to look back on.

  3. 2024

    The sensor data server

    A small service that pulls device readings and their thresholds on a schedule, stores them in Postgres and raises an alert when a reading crosses a line.

  4. 2024 to 2025

    Alerts people act on

    Threshold alerts by email and on WhatsApp, a record of who accepted or rejected each one, and a check for alerts nobody has acted on.

  5. 2025

    Sign-in with a WhatsApp code

    Passwords replaced with one-time codes on WhatsApp, and invites with a resend timer.

  6. 2025

    Readings, live

    Sensor data streamed to the dashboard as it arrives and drawn every few seconds, instead of waiting for a reload.

  7. 2025

    Set up in bulk

    Warehouses, stacks and devices imported from a sheet, then the right people invited to them.

  8. 2024 to 2025

    Safe to change

    Docker, automated database backups, tests that run in Docker, and CI that type-checks and lints every change.

  9. 2025 to 2026

    What came next

    Manish went on to add QR codes for every stack, live graphs, schedules for warehouse controllers and firmware updates over the air.
